This is something I used for a daily writing project. I wrote in in December of 2011 and I thought it was about time to share it will all of you here. Enjoy!
The sun
It's set the clouds on fire
They are alight
With Reds
Oranges
Yellows
Dark blue sky
Creeping up behind
Large cotton clouds full of snow
Seek to black out the scene
As if to break a promise
The promise of tomorrow
Hiding the moon
Hiding the stars
And we wait
In the cold and dark
Hoping that tomorrow comes
But for now
We enjoy the end of today
